The Board of Directors of the Greek Federation of Spirits Producers comprises seven (7) members elected every three (3) years by the General Assembly.

Upon an invitation by the Chairman, the Board of Directors summons ordinary meetings at least once every two (2) months and extra-ordinary meetings whenever deemed appropriate or necessary by the former.

The Board of Directors manages the Federation and administers its property.

Responsibilities of the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors manages the Federation and administers its property by means of decisions conducing towards the achievement of its objectives.

In particular, it reaches decisions on the registration or expulsion of members subject to approval by the General Assembly, sets the sums of the members’ subscriptions, reaches decisions on the expenditures concerning the Federation’s operation, as well as on any contract whatsoever.

The Board of Directors draws up the annual budget and an end report to be submitted to the General Assembly for approval, whereas it reports to the latter with regard to any action undertaken and ensures adherence to the Statute.

The Board of Directors may reach a decision to appoint special advisors, the Director of the Federation's Office and employees from among the Federation’s Honorary and/or Regular Members and/or third parties, as well as set their remunerations for the provision of their services.

The Board of Directors may reach a decision to authorize its members to represent the Federation in and out of court or in any other instance deemed appropriate. The decision reached by the Board of Directors must clearly lay down the boundaries of the authorization and representation. A member of the Board of Directors authorized as mentioned above validly binds the Federation.
