Foundation & Facilities

The plant of the Distillery-Winery of Thrace S.A. is located in a privately-owned plot of 15,000 sq. m. in the Komotini Industrial Zone, with buildings of 5,000 sq. m.

The equipment consists of 6 stills for the production of Ouzo distillate and 4 high performance stills of a capacity of 1,000 l. each for the Tsipouro distillation, 3 bottling lines with a capacity of 12,000 bottles per hour, stainless tanks with a total capacity of 795,000 l. for storing the finished products, as well as all the necessary machinery and equipment supporting the production activities.

This is why the Distillery-Winery of Thrace S.A. has elaborated and undeviatingly implements Quality Assurance Systems covering the entire production process, from the raw materials to the traceability of the products put on the market.

Absolute hygiene and safety conditions are observed during the production process, which is thoroughly inspected daily, while all production phases are recorded in detail. The perfect organization and the exhaustive control of each bottle put on the market ensure the absolute safety of the products and compliance with the highest standards.

Certifications

To ensure the flawless operation and best quality, the company has elaborated and strictly observes certified Quality Assurance Systems in compliance with the ΙSO 9001:2000, ΗΑCCP (hazard analysis critical control points) and IFS (International Food standards) standards. In addition it employs trained and skilled staff to perform these controls.
