Created by the merger of Pernod and Ricard in 1975, the Group has undergone sustained development, based on both organic growth and acquisitions. The purchase of part of Seagram (2001), the acquisitions of Allied Domecq (2005) and of Vin & Sprit (2008) have made the Group the world’s co-leader in Spirits and Wines with net sales of €7,2 billion in 2008/09.

The company in Greece

In Greece, the Pernod Ricard Group has been present since 1990 with its local and international products via its subsidiary, Pernod Ricard Hellas, one of the biggest international alcoholic drinks companies in the country, with a turnover of €78 million and 179 employees. In 2005 and 2007, the company was recognized as one of the 20 Best Workplaces in Greece.

The company operates two modern ISO-certified production units: the ouzo production unit in Mytilene, which has been operating successfully for more than 30 years constituting one of Greece’s most important ouzo producers (ouzo ΜΙΝΙ, ouzo Fimi and ouzo Lesvos and the liqueurs Eoliki) and the vinegar production plant in Piraeus (TOP vinegar).
