Promotion of EU agricultural products outside the EU
The European Commission has approved measures to provide information on, and to promote agricultural products in third countries. Member States submitted 30 programmes to the Commission to be examined. Between the 11 programmes that have been accepted, is the SEAOP's programme named «GREAT SPIRITS». It's targeted at USA. The products covered are spirit drinks with protected geographical indications (PGIs). The total budget of the programme is € 1.315 million and the EU contribution is the 50% of the total budget.
