The Wine Producers Association of Northern Greece Vineyard organizes the only International Wine and Spirituous Beverages of Vitivinicultural Origin Competition held in Greece. The Competition’s main objective is to present the variety of international quality wine and spirits production to professionals and the general public and acquaint foreign wine professionals with the exciting developments in Greek wine production.
During the Competition, Greek and foreign wine Judges (enologists, sommeliers and journalists) taste wines and spirits from Greece and abroad for 3 days. The public has the opportunity to taste the award-winning wines and spirits at a tasting event that is held every year after the end of the competition while winners receive the awards at an official awards ceremony.

Products permitted to compete:
Spirits and spirituous drinks of vitivinicultural origin. The spirits competition is open to all spirituous beverages vitivinicultural origin and spirituous drinks of vitivinicultural origin produced in conformity with the regulations of their country of origin:
- Grape Marc Spirits
- Wine Spirits
- Brandy/Weinbrand
- Grape Spirits
- Raisin Spirits
- Wine Lees Spirits
Moreover, experimental samples (wines, aromatized wine-based drinks, spirits, spirituous drinks of vitivinicultural origin) can be tested and evaluated by juries. However, their rating is notified only to their pro ducers and they are excluded from the awards.

Participation Cost (VAT included) is:
100 € / sample, for 1 - 4 samples
90 € / sample, for 5 - 8 samples
85 € / sample, for 9 samples or more
The competition will take place in Thessaloniki. Tasting sessions will be held from Tuesday 14 until Thursday 16 February, 2023. The announcement of the results will be officially publicised on Friday 17 February, 2023 on the websit

Medal stickers help your award-winning wine/spirit stand out and give consumers confidence when buying wines/spirits. As submitter of Thessaloniki International Wine & Spirits Competition, you have the possibility to order medal stickers for your awarded products.
Alternatively, the award-winning companies may acquire the right to use the digital version of the awarded stickers into the labels of their award-winning products.
